Azerbaijani cyclist: "I will strive to raise our flag high in international competitions in the future."

Maryam Huseynova, a member of the Azerbaijani national track cycling team, assessed her performance at the Open Championship of Kazakhstan.

Idman.biz reports that the cyclist said in her statement to "Report" that she was participating in an international tournament for the first time.

She stated that the competition was both difficult and interesting: "I participated in an international competition for the first time. I took third place overall in the championship in Kazakhstan. The competition was both difficult and interesting for me. I realized many of my mistakes and I must definitely work on them in the future. I will be looking forward to training camps and competitions. I will try to wave our flag in the international arena from now on."

It should be noted that M. Huseynova took 3rd place in the overall standings among 38 participants in the omnium competitions among girls born in 2009-2010 in the sum of 3 movements. The athlete had previously won a bronze medal in the 200-meter sprint at this competition.
