Azerbaijani bodybuilder who won the European Championship in Spain announces future goals

Azerbaijani bodybuilder Ismail Habiyev, the winner of the European Championship held in Spain, evaluated his performance and announced his next goals.

In an interview with "Report", he stated that he surpassed approximately 60 rivals and became the absolute winner of the continental championship.

The athlete emphasized that this championship was his first:

"The competition went great. I had about 60 rivals. I surpassed each of them and won both in my weight category of 100 kg and in all other categories. Of course, there were difficult moments, but I coped with them. My coach Nadim Hasanov also played a big role in winning. The Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation also provided support. This was my first European championship. I had prepared very well for the competition".

I. Habiyev expressed his desire to become a world champion:

"First, I became the Azerbaijani champion in my weight category and in other weights. Then I won the European championship. My next goal is to become the winner of the world championship, raise the Azerbaijani flag in foreign countries and play our anthem. I am proud to represent our country properly. I know that there will be stronger rivals at the world championship. I will prepare in the same way. In any case, the goal is the same".

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani bodybuilding team finished the European Championship with 4 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals.
