Azerbaijani badminton players won two silver medals at the international tournament of the "Future" series held in Venezuela. Sport24.az reports that Ulvi Huseynov advanced to the final in the men's singles category, defeating representatives of Venezuela, Brazil, and Mexico. He lost only to his opponent from England and finished the tournament with a silver medal.
In the mixed doubles category, the duo Ulvi Huseynov - Leyla Jamalzade advanced to the final, defeating rivals from Venezuela and Mexico. However, in the decisive match, Azerbaijani athletes lost to the Mexican duo and finished in 2nd place.
It should be noted that previously, our badminton players won three gold medals at another open tournament held in Venezuela.
