Azerbaijan will host the European Championship and World Cup in ski mountaineering in 2026.
This was reported to "Report" by the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation (AWSF).
The AWSF's appeal to the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) to organize these competitions in Azerbaijan was met positively.
According to the agreement reached, the ISMF decided to hold the competitions at the "Shahdag" Tourism Center, and the competitions were included in the international federation's competition calendar.
The European Championship is scheduled to be held on March 4-8, 2026, and the World Cup on March 6-8 at the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.
