The final match of the European Chovgan Championship, organized by the International Chovgan Federation in Poland on June 5-7, has taken place. According to Sport24.az, the Azerbaijani national team became the European champion for the first time in this competition, which was remembered with a historic result.
In the final game, the Azerbaijani team faced the Malta team and won confidently with a score of 6:2.
With this result, our team won the tournament cup, opening a new page in the history of chovgan.
6 countries participated in the tournament - Azerbaijan, Turkey, Hungary, Malta, Poland and Great Britain. In the first game, the Azerbaijani national team defeated the Turkish chovgan team with a score of 3:0. In the semi-final stage, our national team was stronger in the fight against the Hungarian team - 4:0.
It should be noted that according to the international chovgan calendar, the next continental prestigious competitions will be held in Uzbekistan - Asia in early September, in Nigeria - Africa in late September, and in Buenos Aires - South American championships in November.
