The World Universiade will start tomorrow in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany. Sport24.az reports that the second group of Azerbaijani athletes has successfully arrived in Düsseldorf and will soon join the competition.
The artistic gymnastics and taekwondo teams traveled via transit flight through Istanbul. After arriving in Turkey, the athletes boarded a plane to Düsseldorf a few hours later. Athletes from various countries – Turkey, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Macau – were also on the same flight. Passengers spent their time differently: most rested, while some watched movies on tablets.
Düsseldorf welcomed the athletes with beautiful weather.
Now the team is preparing to go through accreditation and head to their accommodation.
It should be noted that the opening ceremony of the Universiade will take place tomorrow in Duisburg.
