Idman.Biz reports that the report featured the visit of the President of the International Canoe Federation, Thomas Konietzko, and the President of the European Canoe Association, Jan Zungrana, to Azerbaijan.
During the visit, the heads of the international federation got acquainted with the administrative building of the federation. They also visited Baku Rowing and Canoe Sports Club and Mingachevir "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center. As part of the visit, the guests visited the Sarsang reservoir and discussed the prospects for organizing international rowing and canoe competitions there.
It should be noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, during his speech at the event dedicated to the sports results of 2025, emphasized that there are opportunities for holding rowing competitions in the Sarsang reservoir and noted that the prospects in this direction are highly appreciated. In a short time, the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation organized a visit of the heads of the international federation to the Sarsang reservoir.
