Qatar is ready to bid to host the Summer Olympics in 2036.
Idman.biz reports that the Qatar Olympic Committee has announced that it is in talks with the International Olympic Committee about the possibility of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, said regarding the subject: "Currently, our sports infrastructure is 95% ready to host the Olympic Games, and we have a comprehensive plan to ensure that all facilities are 100% ready.
This plan is based on a long-term concept and aims to create a socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable legacy.
Our goal is not only to organize a successful tournament, but also to present a global experience that incorporates the principles of inclusiveness, sustainable development, and international cooperation".
