Our canoeist in the semifinals

The Canoe World Cup has started.

İdman.biz reports that the competition is being held in Szeged, Hungary.

Azerbaijan is represented in the tournament by one athlete. Tatyana Smilovenko started competing today at a distance of 500 m. Our canoeist, who was in the 3rd group of the qualifying stage, reached the finish line in 2 minutes 11.54 seconds. Our representative, who took 4th place, qualified for the semifinals. This stage will take place tomorrow.

Tatyana will start in another distance tomorrow. She will compete at a distance of 200 m.

Note that the competition will last until May 18.
