Olympians whose medals were replaced announced their future goals

Gashim Magomedov, a taekwondo athlete, and Hasrat Jafarov, a Greco-Roman wrestler, whose medals won at the "Paris-2024" Summer Olympic Games and subjected to wear and tear were replaced with new ones, made statements to journalists after the presentation ceremony held at the National Olympic Committee.

Gashim Magomedov emphasized in his speech that his main goal is to become an Olympic champion:

"The silver medal of the Summer Olympic Games is not the maximum result, the maximum is gold. Participating in the final fight showed me that I was one step away from victory, which means I am capable of winning gold. My main goal is to become an Olympic champion. In addition, there are also European and world championships ahead. I want to win all the titles that can be won in sports."

Hasrat Jafarov noted that the medal deteriorated in a short time and expressed his gratitude for the prompt resolution of the issue:

"The Olympics is the pinnacle of sports competitions and every athlete's dream is to win a medal here. After our medal deteriorated in a short time, we applied to the National Olympic Committee.
