The next meeting of the NOC Athletes' Commission was held in the administrative building of the National Olympic Committee.
İdman.biz reports that the meeting included an exchange of views on ongoing projects and consideration of the election of a new member to the commission.
As a result of the voting, Olympic medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling, world and European champion Rafig Huseynov was elected to replace commission member Tarana Abbasova (weightlifting).
It should be noted that for the period of 2025-2028, Rustam Orujov (judo) will serve as the chairman of the commission, Farida Azizova (taekwondo) as the deputy chairman, Leyla Aliyeva (judo), Irada Ashumova (shooting), Haji Aliyev (wrestling), Nazim Babayev (athletics), Rafig Huseynov (wrestling), Fatima Alkərəmova (swimming), Rasul Chunayev (wrestling) will act as members of the commission.
