Balaheydar Karimov, coach of the Azerbaijani national triathlon team and an experienced referee, represented the country as a referee for the first time at the World Triathlon competition.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation informed "Report" about this.
He successfully refereed at the European Youth Cup held in Izvorani, Romania on August 9-10, gaining his first experience in the international arena.
Balaheydar Karimov is the head coach of the Azerbaijani national youth triathlon team. Under his leadership, young athletes have achieved successful results in the international arena, and significant work has been done to increase the mass participation in triathlon within the country. Karimov, who also has extensive experience in refereeing, has served as the head referee in many local and international competitions held in the republic, including the "IronWind" international triathlon competition.
In order to prepare for international activity, Balaheydar Karimov successfully completed an international refereeing course organized by the Kyrgyzstan Triathlon Federation and Asian Triathlon in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on June 7-8. This course provided him with advanced knowledge and skills in World Triathlon rules and the management of international competitions.
"This competition was a great experience for me. In the future, I will try to represent our country more worthily in more international triathlon competitions," said Balaheydar Karimov.
