A sports event called "KidsRunFest" has been organized among children in athletics.
Idman.Biz reports that the competition was held on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the World Children's Athletics Day. The event was jointly organized by World Athletics, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, the Zafar Running Club and "Camphood".
Nearly 200 children representing different age groups participated in the competition. They tested their strength in running distances of 400, 600, 800 and 1000 meters.
The main purpose of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle among children, increase interest in athletics and discover young talents.
