Azerbaijani weightlifter Isa Rustamov achieved success at the European Championship held in Batumi, Georgia, and climbed onto the podium. Competing in the 71 kg weight category, our athlete won the silver medal of the continental championship.
Idman.Biz reports that our representative finished second in the snatch with a result of 147 kg. With this indicator, he added the silver medal of the competition to his assets. Isa Rustamov lifted 180 kg in the clean and jerk, finishing fourth in this category.
Our weightlifter, who showed a total result of 327 kg in the sum of two movements, finished the competition in fourth place in the final ranking.
It should be noted that the European Championship, organized at the Batumi Sports Palace, will continue until April 26.
