One of the most magnificent events in the history of world sports took place at the London Marathon. Kenyan athlete Sebastian Save became the first person to break the two-hour barrier in an official race setting.
İdman.Biz reports that he finished with a time of 1:59:30, improving the previous world record by more than a minute. With this, the athlete confidently defended his London Marathon title.

However, this historic run was not limited to just one person's race. Yomif Kejelcha, who made his marathon debut, also crossed the two-hour mark, posting a time of 1:59:41. Another runner, Yakob Kiplimo, covered the distance in 2:00:28, which is a faster time than the previous world record.

It should be noted that standard confirmation procedures are awaited for the results to be official.
