The German national team will be represented at the World Universiade, which will be held in their country, with a record number of athletes.
İdman.biz reports that the host team will include 305 athletes.
This is the largest German team in the history of the Universiade.
Jörg Förster, Chairman of the Board of the German University Sports Federation, says that they are proud to participate in the prestigious event with the largest German team of all time: "This demonstrates the increasing importance of student sports in Germany and the close and successful cooperation between all parties involved. The World University Games in the Rhine-Ruhr region provide our athletes with the opportunity to combine sporting achievements with an academic career. These competitions will give a lasting impetus to the development of university sports in Germany."
It should be noted that the opening ceremony of the Universiade will take place tomorrow.
The Azerbaijani team will also participate in the competition. Our athletes will compete in 12 sports: athletics, badminton, archery, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo and fencing.
