The first meeting of the NOC Athletes' Commission for 2026 was held on March 18 in the administrative building of the National Olympic Committee.
"Report" informs that the main issues on the agenda of the meeting were the report on the projects implemented during the past period and the determination of the future activities of the commission.
Commission members also made their proposals at the meeting.
The main goal of the Athletes' Commission is to protect the interests of athletes, defend their rights, and play a coordinating role between athletes and the International Olympic Committee.
It should be noted that Farida Azizova (taekwondo) is the chairperson of the commission for the period 2025-2028, Leyla Aliyeva (judo), Irada Ashumova (shooting), Haji Aliyev (wrestling), Nazim Babayev (athletics), Rafig Huseynov (wrestling), Fatima Alkaramova (swimming), Rasul Chunayev (wrestling) are members of the commission.
