The 20th Congress of the European Archery Federation (World Archery Europe) was held in Antalya, Turkey.
Idman.Biz reports that representatives from 38 countries participated in the event, and issues related to the development of archery and the election of the new leadership of the federation were discussed.
At the Congress, the Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Archery Federation, Farid Khalilov, was elected as a member of the Federation's Development and Technical Committee. He collected the required number of votes in the first round and went down in history as the first Azerbaijani representative elected to the official committee of the Federation.
It should be noted that according to the results of the voting, the Turkish representative Hakan Çakıroğlu was elected as the new president of the European Archery Federation.
