Conference of heads of European Athletics member federations starts in Baku

A conference of leading figures from federations affiliated with European Athletics has commenced in Baku.

Idman.Biz reports that during the opening ceremony of the prestigious event held at the Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard, European Athletics President Dobromir Karamarinov praised the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation as an active partner and expressed gratitude for the high level of organization.

Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov emphasized the importance of such events in the path of overall development. President of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, Javid Gurbanov, expressed his pleasure at seeing the event participants in Baku and wished success to the conference.

Following the opening ceremony, European Athletics CEO Christian Milz presented on the organization's strategic roadmap update, fan engagement, and new projects related to digitalization.

Subsequently, representatives from Slovenia, Spain, and Denmark delivered presentations on the implementation of European Athletics' strategic roadmap in member federations.

Later, in the ethics management session for leaders, discussions were held on competition manipulation, security and conflict of interest management, as well as effective digital transformation and data-driven monetization strategies for member federations.

It is noted that the conference, attended by 50 representatives from 32 countries, will conclude tomorrow.
