The Canoe World Cup has started. Sport24.az reports that the competition is held in Szeged, Hungary.
Azerbaijan is represented by one athlete in the tournament. Tatyana Smilovenko started competing today in the 500 m distance. Our canoeist, who was in the 3rd group of the qualifying stage, reached the finish line in 2 minutes and 11.54 seconds. Our representative, who took 4th place, qualified for the semi-finals. This stage will take place today.
Tatyana will start in another distance tomorrow. She will compete in the 200 m distance.
Note that the competition will last until May 18.
