Belarus Deputy Minister of Sports, Alexander Baraula, experienced nostalgic feelings in Ganja.
"Report" informs that Alexander Baraula himself said this in a statement to journalists.
He spoke about the III CIS Games held in Azerbaijan:
"I felt nostalgia when I came to Ganja. Because 2 years ago, when Belarus hosted the CIS Games, it was held in 11 cities and it reminded me of my country. It is gratifying that the competition is held in 7 cities of Azerbaijan. It is a very good idea to bring the excitement of sports to other cities. Azerbaijan is a very hospitable country. We were greeted here with great respect. The competitions are organized at a high level."
He said that Belarusian athletes came to Azerbaijan to achieve good results:
"Our athletes are happy to compete here. They like to compete in high-level sports halls. Athletes like the culture of Ganja and other cities very much. It was an opportunity to get to know Azerbaijan better. The competition is at a high level during the matches."
