The Azerbaijani national academic rowing team has successfully performed at the "Paolo d'Aloja" memorial tournament held in Italy. Our athletes won two medals at the prestigious competition, which lasted from April 24 to 26.
Idman.Biz reports that the pair of Nurlan Pashayev and Ziya Mammadzade finished second in the 2000-meter race in a double scull boat. Thus, our athletes won a silver medal.
Azer Ilyasov, who competed in a single scull boat at the same distance, finished third. With his confident performance, he added a bronze medal to his tally.
It should be noted that our team was represented at the tournament under the leadership of head coach Volodymyr Morozov.
