The medal won by another Azerbaijani athlete who ascended the podium at the "Paris-2024" Summer Olympic Games and subsequently tarnished will be replaced.
İdman.Biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that the medal of boxer Alfonso Dominguez (92 kg) has also become unusable. He will appeal to the National Olympic Committee regarding the issue in the coming days. The athlete's medal will be sent to France and replaced with a new one.
The bronze medals won by freestyle wrestlers Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) in Paris will not be replaced as they are in normal condition.
It should be reminded that the silver medal of taekwondo athlete Gashim Magomedov and the bronze medal of Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov have already been replaced with new ones. The medals will be sent to Baku - to the National Olympic Committee by March 20.
