Today, the "Grand Slam" tournament will start in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Sport24.az reports that four Azerbaijani judokas will compete on the tatami on the first day of the competition.
Among men, Turan Bayramov (66 kg) will face Frenchman Kilian Noel in the 1/32 finals. In the same weight category, Rashad Yelkiyev will face Dutch representative Jochem van Harten in the 1/16 finals.
In the women's competition, Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) will clarify relations with Mongolian Misheel Altanshagai. Leyla Aliyeva (52 kg), who starts the fight from the 1/8 finals, will face Israeli Gefen Primo.
It should be noted that the qualification stage of the "Grand Slam" will start at 10:00, and the final block will start at 17:00. The tournament will end on March 23.
