Azerbaijan will be represented by 19 judokas at the European Open Tournament to be held on March 14-15 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Sport24.az reports that 15 male and 4 female athletes will compete in 9 weight categories.
These are Gulnara Bayramova (57 kg), Aytaj Gardashkhanli (70 kg), Narmin Amirli, Gunel Hasanli (both 78 kg), Babarahim Mirzayev, Murad Aliyev, Kenan Huseynov (all 60 kg), Nazir Talibov, Huseyn Allahyarov, Tofig Mammadov, Yashar Najafov, Elshan Asadov (all 66 kg), Ibrahim Aliyev, Rufat Shovlatov, Nariman Mirzayev (all 73 kg), Khayyam Aliyev (90 kg), Elmar Gasimov, Nihad Shikhalizade (both 100 kg) and Jamal Feyziyev (+100 kg).
The head coaches of the men's team - Elkhan Mammadov and Slavko Tekic, and the coach of the women's team Imamverdi Mammadov will lead the team.
Nazim Umbayev and Akif Tahirov, A category judges, members of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation's referee panel, will also be among the representatives of justice in the competition.
