The winners of the final day have been determined at the 29th international memorial dedicated to the memory of Afghan Safarov, Honored Athletics Coach.
According to Idman.Biz, about 80 athletes from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan competed in the competition organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, and supported by World Athletics.
In the memorial's competition program, Tembo John won the men's 200-meter race, and Lamia Veliyeva won the women's race. Bakhtiyar Asgarli won the men's 800-meter race, and Anna Korobovtseva from Kyrgyzstan won the women's race.
Sofia Israfilova won the women's long jump. Ildar Ahmadiyev, representing Tajikistan, climbed to the highest step of the podium in the men's competition.
