Azerbaijani figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev has announced the end of his professional career.
According to Idman.Biz, the athlete shared an emotional appeal on social media.
"So, my sports career has come to an end. 20 years on the ice has become a big part of my life. During this time, there were victories and defeats, joys and disappointments, as well as moments that will stay with me forever.
I have always tried to make the most of what I have, so I have no regrets. I accept the end of this stage with gratitude and move on," Litvintsev wrote.
The skater also thanked everyone who supported him throughout his career.
"Thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in me and was by my side along the way. I would especially like to thank the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation for their support and trust throughout my career, and of course, Victoria for the four years we spent together," the athlete noted.
In addition, the athlete has released a video dedicated to his creative and sports journey on the ice.
