Figure skater Veronika Zhilina is not planning to end her career after the International Skating Union (ISU) did not allow her transition to the Azerbaijani national team.
Idman.biz reports with reference to "RIA Novosti" that the 17-year-old athlete continues to train and plans to participate in competitions after the issue regarding the transition is resolved.
Another source of the agency stated that Zhilina is considering moving to Azerbaijan with her family.
It should be noted that the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) had previously not allowed Zhilina's transition from Russian sports citizenship to Azerbaijani citizenship. The athlete has already received an Azerbaijani passport. Later, a source from "RIA Novosti" reported that she had also returned approximately 1 million rubles (approximately 21.7 thousand manats) spent on her training to the FFKKR.
