The individual semi-final stage among adults in trampoline gymnastics at the European Championship held in Portimao, Portugal, has concluded.

According to the results of the competition, Selcan Mahsudova and Maqsud Mahsudov from Azerbaijan qualified for the final.

By advancing to the final, Selcan Mahsudova also secured a license for the European Games to be held in Istanbul in 2027.

A day earlier, Maqsud Mahsudov, together with Huseyn Abbasov, advanced to the final in synchronized jumping, earning a similar license.

Thus, Azerbaijan currently holds three licenses for the 2027 European Games in trampoline gymnastics.

The fourth, penultimate day of the European Championship in trampoline gymnastics, double mini-trampoline, and tumbling has started in Portimao, Portugal.

Idman.Biz reports this from Portugal; the competitions started with individual semi-finals in trampoline among juniors. Ammar Bakhshaliyev from Azerbaijan qualified for the final. He will also compete in the semi-final in double mini-trampoline later.

In addition, finalists and medalists in several other categories and disciplines will be determined today.

Nijat Mirzayev will compete for a spot in the individual final in the U-21 category, while Selcan Mahsudova, Maqsud Mahsudov, and Huseyn Abbasov will compete among adults.

Today, there will also be a battle for medals in team competitions:

tumbling (juniors) - Ilham Mammadov, Sanan Rzazade, Riad Javadov;
double mini-trampoline - Ammar Bakhshaliyev, Omar Gasimov, Nikita Kolesnikov, Farhad Mustafayev;
trampoline gymnastics - Maqsud Mahsudov, Huseyn Abbasov, Ali Niftaliyev, Mehdi Aliyev;
tumbling (adults) - Mikhail Malkin, Tofig Aliyev, Aleksey Karatashov, Adil Hajizade.
