The Summer National Cross-Country Championship was held with the organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation. According to Sport24.az, more than 80 athletes from Ganja, Barda, Gadabay, Ismayilli, Astara, Shamkir and Khizi, along with representatives of the capital, competed in the tournament.
Among men, Barda athlete Bakhtiyar Asgarli won the title of national champion in the 10 km race. Sanan Bayramov, a representative of Ganja, won at 6 km, and Nihat Gafarov and Royal Miraczadeh won at 3 and 2 km, respectively.
