The Republican tournament in throwing events dedicated to the memory of Honored Coach Hajibaba Zeynalov has started, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation.
"Report" informs that, along with adults, winners in various age categories were determined in the competition held at the Surakhani Throwing Base.
Ismayil Aliyev won the men's shot put competition on the first day of the tournament. In this event, Sakina Hajizade climbed to the highest step of the podium in the women's competition.
In the discus throw, Kanan Valiyev among boys under 18, and Zeynep Amrahova among 16-year-olds, surpassed all their rivals. In the U-16 age category, Farid Ganbarov won the shot put among boys, and Nazrin Isayeva won the 1st place among girls.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
