Palina Kaspiarovich, a member of our national women's sabre fencing team, won a bronze medal at the World Cup stage held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

In the play-off, Kaspiarovich defeated Uzbek representative Samira Shokirova (15:6), Venezuelan sabre fencer Katerina Paredes Torres (15:11), Ukrainian Alina Komashchuk (15:14) and Spaniard Araceli Navarro (15:13) to reach the strongest "eight". She defeated Anastasia Shorokova, who performed under a neutral flag, with a score of 15:10 in the match for the semi-final.
Palina Kaspiarovich lost to Bulgarian fencer Yoana Ilieva with a score of 6:15 in the final match and finished third.
Anna Bashta, who competed in an international tournament for the first time after a long-term injury, stopped fighting in the main stage. Sabina Karimova and Zarifa Huseynova finished their performance in the qualifying play-off stage.
