The short program among women of the "Junior Grand Prix in Figure Skating" competition has been held.
Idman.biz reports that 35 athletes from 30 countries performed in the short program.
According to the results of the tournament, Israeli athlete Sofia Shifrin took 1st place with 61.57 points, Chinese figure skater Yihan Wong took 2nd place with 60.96 points, and South Korean athlete Hyewon Joo took 3rd place.
In the short program, our young athletes Arina Kaluqina took 6th place with 57.87 points, Sabina Aliyeva took 28th place with 35.76 points, and Leyli Akhundova took 29th place with 35.33 points.
It should be noted that the Grand Prix is organized by the State Tourism Agency, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation and the International Skating Union. 92 athletes from 38 countries are participating in the tournament.
On the second day of the competition, men will perform with a free program on ice, and couples will perform with a short dance program.
