On March 12, an athletics competition was held at the Baku Athletics Center among employees of state institutions, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation.
According to Lent.az, the participants competed in the 60, 400, 800 meter running and long jump sports.
Employees of the MES participating in the competition managed to achieve high results. Thus, in the 60-meter race among men, the employee of the State Fire Protection Service (DYMX), internal service sergeant Ilkin Alizadeh, surpassed all his rivals and won a gold medal. Among women, Malakhanim Mammadova, an employee of the Ministry's Apparatus, won gold in the 60-meter race, and Zakiyya Karimli, an employee of the Sports and Health Club, won a silver medal.
In addition, in the 800-meter race among men, the employee of the Special Risky Rescue Service (XRXX), Chief Warrant Officer Jalal Suleymanov, won gold, and Ilgar Mammadov, a captain and employee of the Baku Regional Center, won silver. In the 400-meter race among women, Malakhanim Mammadova took 1st place, and Sima Safarova, a lieutenant and employee of XRXX, took 2nd place. In the long jump competition, Yevgeny Kasilov, the chief sergeant of internal service, an employee of DYMX, and Zakiyya Karimli among women won the silver medal.
The winners were awarded diplomas and medals established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
