Keely Hodgkinson Breaks World Record in 800m Race

British athlete Keely Hodgkinson set a new world record in the 800m short track race at the "World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold" series held in Liévin, France.

"Report" reports, citing the official website of "World Athletics", that the 23-year-old Olympic champion covered the distance in 1:54.87 seconds.

The athlete, who achieved a historic result, improved the previous record set by Slovenian Jolanda Čeplak on March 3, 2002, by 0.95 seconds.
