Keely Hodgkinson Breaks World Record in 800m

British athlete Keely Hodgkinson set a new world record in the 800m short track at the "World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold" series held in Liévin, France. Sport24.az reports that the 23-year-old Olympic champion covered the distance in 1:54.87 seconds.

 

The athlete, who achieved a historic result, improved the previous record of Slovenian Jolanda Čeplak set on March 3, 2002, by 0.95 seconds.
