Chungwon Choue, the head of World Taekwondo, presented the ninth dan black belt to the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
İdman.biz reports that after receiving the belt, Tokayev broke a wooden board with one strike.
The Press Service of the President of Kazakhstan reports: "The President signed the training board and then, at the request of Chungwon Choue, broke the board in accordance with taekwondo traditions."
The ninth dan black belt is considered the highest rank in taekwondo.
The meeting between Tokayev and Choue took place in Astana on the eve of the start of the G1 category international tournament "Kazakhstan Open 2025".
