The international athletics competition dedicated to the memory of Honored Coach Afgan Safarov will be held on May 23-24, 2026.
Idman.Biz reports that the tournament will be organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation. The competition will be held at the stadium of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.
The international tournament for women and men is expected to be attended by athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Georgia, along with Azerbaijani athletes.
The competition program includes running, jumping, and throwing events. During the two-day tournament, athletes will test their strength in various distances and technical events.
