American figure skater Ilia Malinin has won the third stage of the Grand Prix series held in Saskatoon, Canada.
Idman.Biz reports that the athlete set a new world record by scoring 228.97 points in the free program.
The overall result of both programs was 333.81 points.
Estonian Aleksandr Selevko took second place (257.21 points), and Japanese Kao Miura took third place (253.69 points).
It should be noted that the previous world record also belonged to Malinin – 227.79 points. He achieved this result in March 2024.
