The Azerbaijani national trampoline gymnastics team finished fourth in the team competition at the European Championship held in Portimao, Portugal.
The team's coach, Hafiz Rzayev, shared his impressions after the competition with İdman.Biz.
The specialist emphasized that this result is of historical importance:
"This is the first team performance of our trampolinists at the European Championships among adults. Taking fourth place on the first attempt is a great success, because all teams aim to reach at least the final stage. I believe that we will perform better at the next championship."
Hafiz Rzayev noted that this success is not accidental and that this sport is developing in the country:
"We first obtained a license for the Paris Olympics, and now we are in the top four. This shows that trampoline gymnastics is developing in Azerbaijan and has a great future."
