Firdovsi Umudov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation (AWF) and member of the "Advisory Group" of the International Weightlifting Federation, is participating in the congress of the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF) held in Batumi, Georgia.

EWF President Astrit Hasani delivered a speech, highlighting the program of the congress and presenting the annual report. After the approval of the audit reports, information about the competitions to be held in 2026 and 2027 was brought to the attention of the participants. Subsequently, extraordinary elections were held for vacant positions in the EWF.
Within the framework of his participation in the congress, Firdovsi Umudov met with EWF President Astrit Hasani, Secretary-General of the organization Milan Mihajlovic, as well as President of the Georgian Weightlifting Federation Lasha Talakhadze. During the meetings, discussions were held on the organization of competitions, innovations in the rules, and bilateral relations.
