Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation, Firdovsi Umudov, participated in the opening ceremony of the "Kakhi Cup 2025" international tournament held in Georgia.
According to "Report", F.Umudov, speaking at the ceremony, spoke about the importance of the competition and noted that the tournament is becoming more and more interesting every year.
An AAF official presented commemorative gifts on behalf of the federation to Lasha Talakhadze, President of the Georgian Weightlifting Federation, and Kakhi Kakhiashvili, a 3-time Olympic champion.
At the end of the event, Firdovsi Umudov met with the President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Mohammed Jalud, and the President of the European Weightlifting Federation, Astrid Hasani.
It should be reminded that Firdovsi Umudov was elected a member of the "Advisory Group" of the International Weightlifting Federation a few days ago.
