The FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup has been held at the National Gymnastics Arena. According to Sport24.az, athletes from more than 30 countries participated in the competition.
Azerbaijan was represented by Nikita Simonov, Aydin Alizade, and Rasul Ahmadzade among men, and Deniz Aliyeva and Nazanin Teymurova among women.
The first two days of the competition were dedicated to the qualifying stage, and the last two days to the final performances. Based on the results of the qualification, Nikita Simonov, Deniz Aliyeva, and Aydin Alizade qualified for the final stage.
In the final stage, Azerbaijani gymnasts failed to be among the prize winners. Nikita Simonov finished the competition in 4th place, Deniz Aliyeva in 6th place, and Aydin Alizade in 8th place.
During the four-day competition, various interactive entertainment programs were also organized for the audience. Tilli and Cilli, the mascots of the competition, also had fun with the audience in the arena and supported the athletes.
Thus, the four-day FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup has successfully concluded.
