The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has lifted the ban on Russian gymnasts. Sport24.az reports that the organization has allowed athletes to participate in international tournaments with the national flag and anthem.
The decision was made at the Executive Committee meeting of "World Gymnastics" held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Russian representatives will be able to compete with national symbols in competitions in artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, sports acrobatics and sports aerobics.
It should be noted that the World Wrestling Federation had previously lifted the same ban.
