European Gymnastics (officially known as European Gymnastics) will consider the issue of lifting sanctions imposed on Russian athletes by the end of the week.
Idman.Biz reports that a meeting of the organization's Executive Committee will be held in the coming days.
It was previously reported that the Executive Committee of World Gymnastics had made a decision to restore the right of Russian athletes to participate in competitions held under the auspices of the organization under their own anthem and flag decided.
"We have just been informed about the decision of European Gymnastics. An Executive Committee meeting will be held this week to discuss the issue," the European Gymnastics press service told TASS.
It is noted that the decision of the European Gymnastics structure applies to five types: sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, sports acrobatics and sports aerobics.
It is worth recalling that the President of European Gymnastics is the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov.
