The draw ceremony for the European Aerobics Championships and the European age group competitions in this sport, which will be held in Ganja in November, has taken place. According to Sport24.az, based on the results of the draw, Portuguese gymnasts will start competing in both competitions.
They will perform first in the individual program among women. Azerbaijani gymnasts will start competing in this program in 18th place.
Currently, the lists submitted by the participating teams are preliminary, and the names of the athletes will be announced later.
In addition to the host country Azerbaijan, teams from 20 more countries will participate in Ganja: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Spain, Finland, Estonia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Greece, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
A total of 281 athletes will compete in the European Championship, and 658 young people will test their strength in the age group competitions.
According to the calendar, the European Championship will be held in Ganja on November 14-16. Before that, on November 9-11, European competitions for age groups among participants up to 15 years old will be held.
It should be noted that Ganja will host official international gymnastics competitions for the first time.
