Azerbaijani tumbling gymnasts competed in the first qualifying round of the European Championships in trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling, held in Portimao, Portugal.
According to Idman.Biz from Portugal, Mikhail Malkin with 54.800 points and Tofig Aliyev with 54.700 points qualified for the final part of the European Championship, taking third and fourth places, respectively.
Today, our other two tumblers, Aleksey Karatashov and Adil Hajizade, also competed, but failed to qualify for the final stage.
The Azerbaijani team took second place (84.200 points) in the team standings and advanced to the final stage. Denmark is first among the teams with 85.400 points, and Great Britain is third (80.300).
