Azerbaijan's rhythmic gymnastics group exercises team will compete at the European Championships in Varna, Bulgaria.
Idman.Biz reports that our team has departed for the continental championship.
The European Championship is organized in the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna. Performances are held in the senior and junior categories at the competition.
The Azerbaijani team will test its strength in the group exercises program in Varna. It is expected that our gymnasts will compete for a place in the all-around final, as well as in the finals in individual apparatus.
According to the competition program, the qualifying performances for group exercises among adults will be held on May 30. Teams will perform on the carpet in the five balls, as well as three hoops and four clubs programs. The final stages are scheduled for May 31.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani team performed successfully at the international competition held in Bucharest, Romania, on the eve of the European Championship. The team consisting of Sofia Mammadova, Shams Muvaffagi, Ilaha Bahadirova, Zahra Jafarova, Ilona Zeynalova and Alina Mammadova won a silver medal in the all-around competition.
