Azerbaijani Gymnasts Advance to Several Finals at European Championships - IDMAN.BIZ from Portugal - VIDEO

Yesterday, April 9, the second day of the European Championships in trampoline gymnastics, double mini-trampoline and tumbling (on the acrobatic track) ended in Portimao, Portugal.

Idman.Biz reports from Portugal that Azerbaijani athletes have qualified for the next stage in all types, achieving several national achievements.

We present the results of the day.

Trampoline gymnastics

Among adults, Seljan Magsudova advanced to the semi-finals in the women's competition.

In the men's competition, for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani trampoline, two athletes - Magsud Magsudov and Huseyn Abbasov - qualified for the semi-finals of the European Championship at the same time.

Also, for the first time in history, the Azerbaijani men's team (Magsud Magsudov, Huseyn Abbasov, Ali Niftaliyev, Mehdi Aliyev) advanced to the final of the European Championship in the team competition. In the qualifying round, the athletes took 5th place, ahead of the teams of Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and other countries.

In the U-21 category, Nijat Mirzayev reached the semi-finals.

Double mini-trampoline

For the first time in Azerbaijani history, the youth double mini-trampoline team (Ammar Bakhshaliyev, Omar Gasimov, Nikita Kolesnikov, Farhad Mustafayev) advanced to the final of the European Championship in the team competition.

In the individual youth competition, Ammar Bakhshaliyev qualified for the semi-finals. He also advanced to the semi-finals in trampoline gymnastics the day before.

Tumbling

The Azerbaijani youth tumbling team (Ilham Masimov, Sanan Rzazade, Riad Javadov) advanced to the final in the team competition.
