The Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation (AWF) continues to support the development of this sport in the regions.
According to the information provided to "Report" from the organization, sports schools and clubs that apply to the federation are provided with equipment on a regional basis by the AWF leadership.
Thus, a set of barbells that meets international standards was handed over to the Children and Youth Sports School of the Sharur District Education Department of the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the AWF. The equipment was presented to Shafi Huseynov, the coach of the Children and Youth Sports School of the Sharur District Education Department.
A few days ago, a full set of barbell equipment was sent by the AWF to the Gazakh District Children and Youth Sports School of the Gazakh-Tovuz Regional Youth and Sports Department. The barbell set was handed over to Sarkhan Gasimli, the head coach of the Gazakh District Children and Youth Sports School.
In the near future, it is planned to provide support with equipment to several more schools and clubs that have applied to the AWF.
